The Montgomery Minors softball team advanced to the championship bracket and was scheduled to face Washingtonville on Sunday.

Results of the game were not available at press time. A win Sunday would send Montgomery to Wednesday’s Flag game.

A loss would send them to the elimination bracket, which would cause them to need to win three games to earn a District 19 championship.

Montgomery has already won two games in the tournament, defeating Pine Bush and Goshen.

Warwick eliminated both Pine Bush and Wallkill Area. Wallkill Area lost to Goshen in their tournament opener.

Pine Bush opened the Majors tournament with a win over the Town of Newburgh-New Windsor. Town of Wallkill, Montgomery and Wallkill Area all lost their tournament openers.

Montgomery was eliminated from the Minors baseball tournament. Pine Bush is still alive in the tournament, opening with a win over Wallkill Area, which was eliminated by one of the two Warwick teams in the tournament.

The Pine Bush Rebels 13U team won two Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League games, while the 11U teams lost to the Cornwall Dragons.

The Mayhem beat the CT Kings in the 16U division, while the Comets continued to win in the High School division.
