Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus and Employment and Training Administration (ETA) Director Steve Knob have announced that the County will hold its annual job fair from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at The Galleria at Crystal Run in the Town of Wallkill.

“Orange County’s job fair has become a very popular event and we expect another great turnout this year of both employers and job seekers,” Neuhaus said. “The job fair provides those seeking employment or career advancement with an opportunity to speak with respected companies and firms that are hiring. The County is proud to work with both employers and potential employees to help County residents find meaningful work.”

Approximately 80 employers and recruiters from Orange, Dutchess, Sullivan and Westchester counties will be at the Galleria to speak with potential job candidates. Businesses that will attend the event include, but are not limited to Crystal Run Healthcare, Garnet Health Medical Center, Orange Ulster BOCES, Orange County Dept of Human Resources, Orange County Department of Public Works, Orange County Department of Health, Pepsi-Cola of the Hudson Valley, Spectrum, Valley View Center for Nursing Care & Rehabilitation, YRC Freight, NY State Police, Price Chopper/Market 32 Supermarkets, Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, & Ulster, Amazon, Leprechaun Lines and Legoland New York Resort.

“Last year, approximately 300 job seekers attended the event,” Knob said. “I think that’s a testament to the talent of Orange County’s workforce and the great companies that have been represented at the job fair. We are looking forward to another great event at the Galleria.”
