It’s been a long season for the Pine Bush boys’ basketball team.

Twenty games. Twenty losses.

The Bushmen’s season ended on Thursday night with a 76-55 loss to the Washingtonville Wizards at Washingtonville High School.

Naz Sanders led the Wizards with 19 points. Ethan Garcia added 12, John Cronin added 11 and Cristian Alvear added 10. The win gave the Wizards a berth in the upcoming Section 9 Class AA tournament.

Robert Lawrence led the Bushmen with 17 points, and Gabe Goodin added 12.

The Bushmen entered Thursday’s game on the heels of an 89-47 loss to the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks in their final home game of the season.

The Goldbacks, however, had five players in double figures.

Deondre Johnson scored a game-high 17 points, while Aidan Brown added 13 points. Jaydan Lorenzo scored 12 points, while Tajir Walker and Darryl Jackson scored 11 points each.
