The Pine Bush boys’ swimming and diving team placed three champions on their way to a second-place finish at the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 championships on Friday at Washingtonville High School.

Tomek Oakes won the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard freestyle, and Bryce Sloley won the 100-yard butterfly.

Pine Bush scored 430.5 points and the Valley Central Vikings finished sixth with 173 points. Monroe-Woodbury won the overall meet championship with 506 points.

Timothy Grabinski was the top finisher for the Valley Central Vikings with a time of 5:02.40 in the 500-yard freestyle relay. His brother, Thomas, finished seven seconds behind him to take third.

The Bushmen’s 200-yard medley relay team of Liam Blackwell, Dominic Licardi, Sloley and Oakes took second, and the Vikings were fifth. Pine Bush’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Oakes, Andrew Donaldson, Blaze Devlin, and Sloley finished second.

Timothy Grabinski was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle and Pine Bush’s Josh Gallagher was fifth.

Sloley finished second in the 50-yard freestyle and Donaldson and Pine Bush’s Blaze Devlin took sixth and seventh, respectively.

Liam Blackwell was third in the 100-yard backstroke and Valley Central’s Thomas Grabinski was sixth.

Pine Bush’s Dominic Licardi was fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Pine Bush’s 400-yard medley relay team of Joshua Gallagher, Devlin, Jayden McCord and Blackwell were fourth and Valley Central finished eighth.

Pine Bush’s Kaeden Fisher finished fourth in the 1-meter diving on Thursday.
