The Pine Bush wrestling team won only four bouts on Wednesday in a 49-18 loss to the Middletown Middies on Wednesday at Middletown High School.

Richard Urena (126) and Braydon Pennell (189) each scored pinfall victories for the Bushmen, who had tied the matched at 12-12 after the first five bouts.

However, the Middies went on to win the next seven of the last eight bouts to take a commanding lead.

Gabriel McNally started the night off for the Bushmen with a victory at 102 pounds. Logan Pennell tied the match with a win at 132 pounds.
Miguel Nieves (110), Jared Lupian-Reyes (118), Jayden Norris (138), Zion Joseph (145), Fernand Vera (215) and Stephan Monchery (285) scored pinfall victories for Middletown.

The Bushmen finished the week with a dual meet loss at Monroe-Woodbury, 51-14, and a tournament at Minisink Valley High School.

McNally (102), Urena (126), Daniel Trojahn (138) and Braydon Pennell (189) picked up victories for the Bushmen.
