The Pine Bush 200-yard medley relay team finished 26th at the New York State girls’ swimming championships on Saturday at the Webster Aquatic Center.

The team of Maya Oakes, Ella Humphrey, Alannah Giannini and Sadie DeGeorge dropped 1.17 seconds off their preliminary time, they finished the finals with a time of 1:53.91

The team finished 28th in the preliminaries with a time of 1:54.91. They entered the meet as the 30th seed with an entry time of 1:51.9.

DeGeorge failed to make it back to the meet’s second day, finishing the preliminaries 31st in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.84 and 33rd with in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:24.47.

Pine Bush’s Paige Gandolfini was 10th in diving on Friday with an 11-dive score of 443.90. Valley Central’s Rilee Kinsley and Eleanor O’Neill failed to make the finals cut finishing with respective scores of 188.90 and 188.30.

Fredonia’s Elizabeth Pucci-Schaefer won the event with a score of 503.50.
