Wallkill’s Jordan Marwin and Andie Psilopoulos helped the Section 9 boys’ and girls’ Nordic ski teams to respective fifth-place finishes at Gore Mountain Ski Center on Feb. 28 and March 1.

The girls’ team finished with 55 points and the boys had 57.

Marwin finished the boys’ 10K skate race 46th with a time of 39:59.2. Psilopoulos finished 45th in the girls’ 6.6K skate race with a time of 30:31.8, gaining four points for Section 9.

Overall, Section 9 finished the first day in a distance fifth place in both the boys’ and girls’ meets. Section 5 led both the boys’ and girls’ meets.

The second day of the event was the relays. Marwin teamed with Evan Waterton and Owen Bassett on the Section 9 A boys’ 3x2.5K classic relay to finish 15th place with a time of 30:49.5.
