Thomas DiLorenzo of Walden, a longtime resident of the area, passed away peacefully at his home on November 23, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was 86. 

The son of Pancrazio and Francesca DiLorenzo, he was born June 12, 1935 in Limatola, Italy.

He migrated from Italy to the United States in 1956 and worked as a tailor. In 1959, he started his dress manufacturing company, Lindy Dress, Inc. where he and his wife, also an Italian dressmaker, employed over 30 employees. They would remain in business for over 45 years. 

In 1961, Thomas married Michelina Senese and they had four children, Anthony, Francine, Thomas and Joan. 

He is survived by his wife, Michelina Senese DiLorenzo of Walden, NY, his son, Anthony DiLorenzo and his wife, Cindy of Syracuse, his son, Thomas DiLorenzo and his wife, Kelly of Howell, NJ, and his daughter Joan Dobransky and husband, Russell of New Fairfield, CT.

He was predeceased by his loving daughter, Francine Julia Whitehouse. 

Thomas is also survived by his eight grandchildren who adored him. They are Anthony DiLorenzo, Jr.; Robert DiLorenzo, Matthew DiLorenzo, and Michela DiLorenzo; Juliana Dobransky, Thomas Dobransky, Christopher Dobransky and James Dobransky.

He is also survived by his sister Mariagrazia Marotta of Montgomery and brother Giuseppe DiLorenzo of Limatola, Italy.
He was predeceased by his brother Felice DiLorenzo.

Thomas was a parishioner at Most Precious Blood Church where he served as an usher for many years. He worked tirelessly to support his family and through hard work and perseverance, he put his four children through college. He was very proud of his family and they were very proud of him and his accomplishments in return.  He loved spending time with his family and the simple pleasures of life. He adored his grandchildren and loved nothing more than spending time with them. He will be forever missed and his memory will live forever in our hearts. 

Visitation will be from 2-5pm on Sunday November 28, 2021 at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 29, 2021 at 10:30am, at Most Precious Blood in Walden NY.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery.

Arrangements were made by Millspaugh Funeral Directors.
