Want to learn more about the historic Borden Home Farm in Wallkill? Join a tour on Sunday, June 26 and learn about the history of this unique property. Meet folks from the School of Practical Philosophy who have been restoring and maintaining this special place since 1979. Guided tours begin at 10:15. Brief discussion about the history and future of the property begins at 11:30 a.m.

The Borden Home Farm was developed by John Borden in the 1880s as a model utopian farm. The ‘core farm’ consists of three historic residential buildings, a 15,000 square foot barn, 220 acres of farm, forest, and open space. It is now used by the School of Practical Philosophy for classes, events, and retreats. The Bordens were responsible for planning and building the hamlet of Wallkill and providing electricity to the area.
