I did a little research on Senator JD Vance of Ohio, Trump’s pick as his GOP VP running mate. This guy is as genuine as fool’s gold. He went from one of Trump’s harshest critics to now his chief advocate. This guy has done a 180 degree, about-face on his view of Trump. Back in a 2016 interview with Charlie Rose, Vance, not yet a senator, said “ I’m a Never Trumper guy. “ On National Public Radio Vance said “ Trump might be America’s Hitler “ but now describes Trump as the “ Best president of my lifetime. “ In a story for the Atlantic, Vance wrote that “ Trump is a cultural heroin “ but now is more-than-ready to inoculate the American people with Trump’s toxicity. 

Having imbibed bucketfuls of Trump’s Maga elixir, Senator Vance has completely adopted Trump’s inward-directed, isolationist, populist stance. Vance has bought into Trump’s agenda of resentment, revenge and retribution, much of which is spelled out in ‘ Project 2025, ‘ the stark blueprint for authoritarian rule. Elated with JD Vance as Trump’s VP pick, the Heritage Foundation authors of ‘ Project 2025 ‘publicly declared Vance will be the leader of the Maga movement. An extreme right-winger Vance faithfully embraces Trump’s political conspiracy theories. He stands with Trump in dismantling his conjured-up administrative deep state ( a clandestine network of bureaucrats including the FBI, CIA and the civil service working against Trump and his policies ) ; he is in total agreement with his master that the federal government should be purged of independent, free-thinking civil servants and replaced with those loyal to Trump and his Maga movement. People, this purge is an outright attempt to delegitimize voices of disagreement and dissent. It is a form of autocracy at its ugliest. 

Pushing ahead strenuously in an inwardly nationalist direction, Vance has become the leading critic of US support for Ukraine. In a 2022 interview with Stephen Bannon, Vance asserted and I quote: “ I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another. “ In my view this is wrong-headed geopolitics. Senator Vance has faithfully joined forces with Trump in pushing the ‘ Big Lie, ‘ advocating the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him. He went so far as to publicly state had he been Trump’s Vice President back in 2020, he would never have certified the electoral count confirming President Biden’s election win. There you have it people. The senator was willing to actively participate in overturning the election results, disrupt the peaceful transfer of power and thus allow Trump to remain President in the White House.

What a transformation JD Vance has undergone as he has become a born-again Trumpian convert. He has gone from a ‘Never Trumper’ to a dogged defender of Trump, a bulldog surrogate for his master’s policies and his fiercest disciple in support of the Maga movement. Vance is just as vicious, just as unscrupulous and just as dangerous as Trump; a carbon copy of his Messiah with the only difference being he can exercise those negative traits more vigorously since he is 38 years younger than his master. Democracy BEWARE !
