Reilly Benson won the uneven bars and Bailey Badendyck tied for the win in the floor exercise as the Valley Central gymnastics team finished the regular season with a 154.3-140.45 win over the FDR Presidents on February 7 at Epik Athletics in Middletown.

Benson won the uneven bars with a meet high score of 9.05. The Vikings’ Erin Sullivan finished fourth, while Leah Rieber and Eleanor O’Neill finished tied for fifth.

Badendyck scored an 8.85 in the floor exercise to finish tied with FDR’s Julia Meyer. Sullivan was third, while Rilee Kinsley and Ella Freeman tied for fourth.

Badendyck tied with Meyer for second in the vault with a score of 8.4 seconds. Sullivan and Rieber were fourth and fifth, respectively.

Badendyck was third on the balance beam with a score of 8.15 while Sullivan and Kaedence Bresnick were fourth and fifth.

Sullivan was third in the all-around with a score of 3.18, while Ella Freeman and Julia Freeman were fourth and fifth. Meyer won the all-around with a combined score of 33.65.

FDR’s Emma Yeager won the balance beam and the vault.
The Vikings finished the season with an undefeated 8-0 record, and they were scheduled to host the Section 9 championship meet on Monday at Epik Athletics.
