Valley Central’s Bianca staples took third in the New York State Federation high jump, clearing 5-6 at the state championship track meet on Saturday at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

She also took fourth in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Division I 400-meter dash with a time of 57.05 seconds.

Pine Bush’s Madison Williams scored a pair of eighth-place finishes, reaching 37-4 in the triple jump and 18-3 in the long jump.

Valley Central’s Azaziah Marshall just missed qualifying for the finals when he finished 10th in the first round of the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.02.

Ava Carsley was 21st in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.43.

Chapel Field’s Shaylen Goslar was 24th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:51.63.
