The Walden Harvest Festival is introducing a new event this year: the Walden Derby Pinewood Car Race, presented by the Walden Community Council.

Races will run throughout the day with regular brackets starting at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Each bracket will have one winner. Junior brackets, for racers ages 10 and under, will be held at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. A final winners’ bracket, featuring prizes, is set for 4:30 p.m.

Car kits start at $10 and can be purchased at Music in the Grove every Wednesday at Wooster Grove. Pre-assembled kits will also be available to decorate at the festival. Both adults and kids are welcome to participate.
