Wallkill tops PJ, Highland

Kyle DeGroat had three hits, including a double and a triple, scored two runs and drove in one, leading the Wallkill baseball team to a 12-2 win over the Port Jervis Raiders on Friday.

Chase Hermance got the win on the rubber, throwing four innings, allowing two hits, and striking out nine. He allowed both runs.

James Lee doubled and a drove in a run, while Bryce DeGroat doubled and drove in two runs. Jack Rauschenbach had two hits, including a double and scored two runs. Hermance doubled and drove in a run. Jacob Quiles doubled and had four RBIs.

The Panthers routed the Highland Huskies, 17-0 the previous day as Quiles threw five innings of a three-hit ball while striking out 10 batters.
Lee homered twice, drove in three and scored three runs. Brandon Vesely had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored. Kyle DeGroat doubled and drove in three. Rauschenbach doubled and scored twice. Hermance had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Spencer Freer had three hits, two RBIs and two runs. Jayden Torres doubled and had two RBIs.

The Panthers got 12 runs on 11 hits in a 12-0 win over Rondout Valley on Wednesday.

Bryce DeGroat had two hits and three RBIs; Kyle DeGroat had two runs scored. Lee had two hits, including a double and four RBIs. Vesely had three hits and three runs. Chase Hermance doubled twice. Quiles hit a solo home run.

The Panthers opened the week with an 11-4 win over the Marlboro Dukes. Kyle DeGroat allowed one hit over four innings and struck out six. Lee had three hits and two RBIs, while Bryce DeGroat had two hits, including a double and four runs scored. Vesely had two RBIs and Maraday had two hits.
