William D Dunn, Jr. of Wallkill, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. He was 68.
The son of the late William D. and Jeanette Davis Dunn, Sr., he was born on September 23, 1953 in Newburgh He was a retired superintendent for the Town of Montgomery. William was an avid hunter and a member of the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club.
William is survived by his wife, Linda M. Brown Dunn at home; son, William D. Dunn III and his fiancé, Christine of Pine Bush; daughter, Michelle Brewer (William) of Walden; step son, Charles Sweed (Dawn) of Wallkill; brothers: Richard Dunn (Marlene) of NC, Alan Dunn (Joanne) of Texas, and Robert Dunn (Lisa) of Kansas; sisters: Leona Wade (John) of New Hampshire, Stacy Tweedie (Mike) of New Hampshire; grandchildren: Christopher, Tiffany, William, Keara, Jacob, Noah, and Charlie; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Dunn.
Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club.
