On Friday, August 2, the Town of Newburgh Police Department received a call from a person who was walking along the railroad tracks north of Park Place and discovered bones. Town of Newburgh Police requested the help of Newburgh, Middlehope FD Marine unit for their assistance. They launched their boats and moved away from the west bank shore looking for any evidence. After nothing was located, the bones were turned over to the Orange County Medical Examiners office.
