Today, I saw my first, precious, bright yellow crocuses smiling up at me from below. They were so tiny I almost didn’t see them, but there they were, in all of their glory, with little raindrops still clinging to their delicate, newly unfurled petals.

Today, I saw my first, precious, bright yellow crocuses smiling up at me from below. They were so tiny I almost didn’t see them, but there they were, in all of their glory, with little raindrops still clinging to their delicate, newly unfurled petals.

Crocuses have been said to symbolize youthful gladness, and they could not have appeared on a more perfect day (my birthday). It was as though God knew I needed something cheerful to make me smile. When I least expect it, He always finds a way to quietly whisper an answer to one of my prayers.

Catholic War Veterans, Joseph R. Farina Memorial Post 386 invites you to its Communion Breakfast, Sunday, April 14, 10 a.m. at the Temple Hill Tavern (following the 8:30 a.m. Mass at St. Francis Church). Breakfast menu is a wonderful Buffet with all the trimmings and a Cash bar.
