Greetings from River City.

For those who are celebrating Passover, “Chag Pesach kasher vesame’ach.” May you be blessed with family and friends this Pesach and lovely memories of those of the past. Happy and blessed Passover, one and all!

Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site is holding the 2024 Newburgh Volunteer Fair on May 11.

They are looking for not-for-profit organizations of all kinds to participate. This event is organized by the historic site in partnership with the Newburgh Free Library.

Volunteers are a vital part of not-for-profit organizations. The Newburgh Volunteer Fair provides local not-for profit groups the opportunity to staff a table to raise awareness within the community of the important work that they do, network with other community organizations and recruit would-be volunteers.

All types of not-for-profit organizations are invited to attend the Fair. Free admission will be offered to the Museum and to Washington’s Headquarters’ Hasbrouck house tours on May 11, courtesy of the Friends of the State Historic Sites of the Hudson Highlands, encouraging visitors to experience the important role Newburgh played during the War of Independence.

The application to participate is available at their website. There will also be a number for wonderful other happenings in Newburgh on May 11 as part of “Spring Into Downtown Newburgh”. You are encouraged to patronize nearby shops and restaurants, visit the Newburgh Farmers’ Market, and more.

Call (845) 562-1195 for more information.

When we decide to join in a protest, it would be wise to first know what we are really protesting. As always, I close with my prayers for God’s blessings on your heads, my dears.
