Following completion of the New York State vote counts and the Orange County General Election Statement of Canvass 2022, first time 99th Assembly District candidate and veteran Orange County Legislator Christopher Eachus [D-New Windsor] was declared the winner.

Ballotpedia, an online nonprofit American politics information source, reported that in the 2022 New York State General Election, 37,070 votes total were collected in the 99th District race with Eachus taking 18,539 votes. In the 99th, the seat was also pursued by first time assembly candidate Kathryn Luciani [R-Woodbury] who collected 18,531 votes. Eachus confirmed the vote numbers in a phone message.
