Election Fraud?

It’s easy to get worked up over election fraud claims, but please research before you go to local boards to demand audits of elections. The “New York Citizen’s Audit” group is not necessarily a legitimate organization. It uses “fuzzy math and false assumptions” and the group did not show details of their work to election officials or seek out possible reasons why their numbers didn’t line up. It bases some of its conclusions without understanding the reasons for things that seem shady. An example given in my research into the group was thousands of “dead people” voting because their birthday was listed as January 1, 1850. The reason for this is that before 1974 NY voters only needed to state their age to cast a ballot, so January 1, 1850 became a placeholder for their birthdates when voting records were computerized in 2007.

It’s also possible that my research is faulty, so if anything gets you really worried, research it from all sides, not just the one that agrees with your opinion. Sometimes we’re wrong.
