Heather’s Child’s Place

Posted

On Wednesday June 14, 2023 I was shown an article stating that Heathers Child’s Place would not have the Veterans building as of October 2023. The building lease would not be renewed, leaving many families without work and childcare. It was stated to be unsafe. I was taken aback by the news because this was the first I had heard of this. I have walked in and out of the building since 2008 and have seen the many renovations that have been completed and not once did I question my children’s safety.

Heather’s has provided me with employment and a loving space for my children to attend summer camp and daycare. All three of my children have gone to this facility, and with one left, my one year old daughter, I can’t imagine sending her anywhere else. Heathers Child’s Place is family, and taking this away from our community would be heartbreaking. Please keep this loving space for children to grow!
