With heavy hearts the Stewart family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather James “Jimmy” D. Stewart. He was 91.
The son of the late Owen and Mary (Frazier) Stewart he was born on December 29, 1928 in Augusta, Georgia.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Maria “Toni” Stewart; their children Gregory Stewart, Gail Stewart Davis, Anthony Stewart, James Stewart, Stephen Petrosino, Frank Zapata, and Diane Sherman; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his siblings John D., Robert, Gabriella, and Lillian Stewart.
Services were held on Monday, February 17 at Brooks Funeral Home, Newburgh.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Jimmy’s name can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
