Msgr. Henry O’Carroll Council 444, Knights of Columbus recently donated $500 to Meals on Wheels of Greater Newburgh. The check was presented by Past Grand Knight John Delessio to Executive Director Robin Bello.

After 125 years, the Knights are still a vibrant, growing organization of Catholic men of faith and of charitable action, that are dedicated to the principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.

Town of Newburgh Rec. Dept. will have an Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m., for children ages 3 to 8, at Chadwick Lake Park. NO WALK-INS! Pre-register online at townofnewburgh.recdesk.com, or call the Rec. Dept. at (845) 564-7815.

The Mass of Chrism at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC will be celebrated on Tuesday of Holy Week, March 26, at 4 p.m. At this Liturgy, the Holy Oils used in celebration of the Sacraments during the year throughout the Archdiocese are blessed, and the priests renew their commitment to priestly service.

There will be a bus leaving from St. Patrick’s Church in Newburgh, at 8:30 a.m. and returning home immediately following the Mass at the Cathedral. Donation is $40 per person. Call Pam to reserve your seat, at 845-561-0885. Seating is limited and given on a first come-first serve basis.

As part of the Adult Faith Formation & Activities of Mother Teresa of Calcutta Parish and St. Patrick’s, St. Mary’s and Our Lady of the Lake Parish, a Bereavement Support Group will be starting Wednesday, April 10, from 2 to 4 p.m., every week for a total of eight sessions in the chapel at Sacred Heart Church, 25 Robinson Ave, Newburgh.

Individuals who are grieving the loss of a loved one are invited to attend. Newburgh Area Retired Teachers’ Association (NARTA) is sending Cheryl Fischer get-well wishes as she recuperates following her recent surgery. May this cheerful lady with the sunny smile rest and follow doctor’s orders, knowing she is loved and cared about by all her family and friends.
