Carter Babbage rolled a 235 high-game and finished with a three-game series of 636 as the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks picked up a 5-0 win over James I. O’Neill on Thursday at Pat Tarsio Lanes in Newburgh.
Gage Szymanowicz rolled a 239 and had a two-game series of 460, while Jordan Dewitt had the single high game for the Goldbacks of 255 and finished with a 427 series.
Richard Chen was the only other Goldback to bowl all three games as he posted a high game of 180 on his way to a 522 series. Andre Alexander had a 225 high game and a 427 two-game series.
Stephen Barnes bowled one game for the Goldbacks and posted a 216.
The Goldbacks won all three games and won the total pin count, 2,965-2,075.
The Newburgh girls’ team won the first and third games on their way to a victory over James I. O’Neill.
Katie Bell had a 193 high game and a three-game series of 520. Bell also rolled a 175 and a 152.
Tatum Connolly also bowled all three games for Newburgh, with a 150 high game and a 422 high series. Gianna Alisandrella rolled a 130 high game and a 369 series.
