Rose M. Perez, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Wingate in Beacon. She was 91.

Daughter of the late Joseph F. and Mary Aleo, she was born on February 27, 1929 in Kearny, NJ.

Rose was a retired milliner working in the garment district of Manhattan. She was also very active with the former Missionary Oblate’s of Mary Immaculate Seminary in Balmville. There she enjoyed running the kitchen for over a decade, feeding and warming the hearts of thousands over the years.  Although she outlived most of her dear friends, there are still many who remember and appreciate her kind manner and strong will.  To her immediate family, she was the loving matriarch and glue that held the family together.  Her cooking was legendary and instrumental in her mission to serve.  Rose will be sorely missed.

Survivors include a son, Michael R. Perez and his wife Debbie of the Town of Newburgh; a daughter-in-law, Ada Perez of Albany; five grandchildren, Joseph, Keith, Michael, Aschley and Ciara; four great grandchildren, Joseph, Ella, Jayden and Major; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph M. Perez in 2001; a son, Joseph D. Perez; a daughter, Soledad Sanchez; four brothers and two sister.

All Funeral Services will be private, with Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.

Funeral Arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY.
