Let’s let these migrants freely cross into our country and then send out Border Patrol to try and capture them. A complete waste of resources but this sounds like something career politicians would advance! How about doing some serious negotiations to erect fencing/walls where the agents say it would do the most good? She described border walls as an “immorality” but in 2006 her Senate colleagues, including Senators Obama, Schumer and Clinton, voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006. Current Homeland Security executives and line agents have stated a wall/fence would help to control the influx of people attempting to cross our southern border.

“Total Enforcement Actions (individuals apprehended in between the ports of entry and deemed inadmissible at the ports of entry) for the month of December in Fiscal Year 2019 was 60,782. December marks the third consecutive month of enforcement actions surpassing 60,000.” dhs.gov/news/2019/01/09/dhs-releases-southwest-border-enforcement-statistics

That’s an awful lot of time spent by our Border Agents running after and then caring for these people who have decided not to follow the laws of our country. Our tax dollars certainly could be better spent.

I’m afraid that based on Speaker Pelosi’s statements about a border fence/wall, we’ll be back in another stalemate come February 15th. Maybe we should send her a Valentine?
