Solution to the migrant crisis

If Texas continues to transfer the many undocumented workers who continue to dare the border, no doubt attracted by the opportunities created by Governor Greg Abbott’s economic policies of low taxes and light regulation (because, as conservatives never stop telling us, those are the only reasons anyone moves anywhere), to New York and other self-declared sanctuary cities, it would only be fair and fitting if we here in New York transferred all the illegally owned and used firearms our authorities confiscate in the course of protecting our lives to Texas, a self-declared Second Amendment sanctuary state where all citizens have the right to constitutional open carry anytime and anywhere, where in 2021 a Midland man was acquitted in the killing a police officer attempting to enter his home ... you can’t get more gun-friendly than that! Certainly all those good guys and gals with guns would be more than enough of a defense against any bad actor availing themselves of a possible tenfold increase in the supply of guns and the likely accompanying drop in price.

This would be easy as states are exempt from the requirements of the Firearms Control Act and do not even have to check 4473 forms when they sell guns. If Governor Grab-It objects, there is nothing he or his state can do to stop it under the U.S. Constitution.
