Thank you for your service

As we celebrate our nation’s independence and honor our nation’s veterans, it is the right thing to do to say to our nation’s veterans “Thank You For Your Service.” We never want to forget what you did for our country. Today, I think we should also celebrate and honor the hard working doctors, medical staff and employees at the Castle Point Medical Center. The center at Castle Point provides Primary Care and Specialty Health Services to the veterans living in the Hudson Valley.

In my opinion, Castle Point provides excellent health care services. I have had the privilege of having my health care needs met at Castle Point for many years. The doctors are excellent, the support staff is professional and always helpful. All of the employees work tirelessly to maintain the center and provide a positive experience to visitors. Veterans are treated with respect, kindness and compassion. Castle Point does provides excellent health service. What Castle Point Medical Center also provides is Health Care. In vivid contrast to many civilian providers, practices, and health centers, Castle Point Medical Center provides an experience to the veterans it serves that is welcoming, respectful and compassionate. Veterans are treated with care they are not treated as a source of revenue, they are not treated like they are just one more customer. Most importantly, veterans are not served by doctors and medical staff on roller skates who see a patient for the minimal amount of time possible. Then they are on their way to the next customer.

It is important I think to recognize the excellent care that Castle Point provides. We need to support the medical center, protect it from outside interference and provide the resources it needs to continue to serve our veterans. Local Veterans organizations support Castle Point. Congressman Ryan has supported the facility and has pledged to continue his support. All local veterans need to express their support. Local veterans who are not registered to receive services at Castle Point should register to begin receiving health care at the Medical Center. They will be amazed at the health care they receive.

Every day I am told “thank you for your service.” I would like to say the same to the doctors and staff at Castle Point.
