I am writing this letter of endorsement for Virginia Scott, candidate for Supervisor in the Town of Cornwall.

I have a few reasons for this endorsement which I will share. First, in a political climate full of mud slinging and false allegations, Virginia sticks with the facts pertaining to her positions and does not waste time (and money) belittling other candidates with vague accusations and black and white letter campaigns insulting her opponents.

Second, her positions on the direction of our community are well thought out and presented in a way that respects the wishes of her constituents who she listens to on a daily basis.

My third reason is more personal, yet important in the big picture of our community’s future. I was born and raised in Cornwall, left for 35 years and came back. I came back to the town I left with a wonderful mix of people who never left, combined with a young, vibrant, intelligent group of newcomers embracing all our town has to offer. To me that in itself is power and why I think Virginia is the right person at the right time to serve as our supervisor. Her measured approach to the two major projects we face in the near future, in my opinion, will take into consideration our monetary needs along with the preservation of our town’s unique attributes. 

 I encourage you to listen and carefully review platforms for both candidates. In doing that I feel all will realize a steady rational hand at the wheel is vitally important. Virginia will listen to us and stand up to anyone, including big money and its influence. 

She talks the talk and walks the walk, the new parks and plantings along Main Street a shining example.
