Third Grade Fostertown students pay it forward

Posted

On May 28, a group of third grade students from Fostertown visited the Ronald McDonald House in Valhalla, which provides rooms and meals to families of sick children being cared for at Maria Ferrari Children’s Hospital. As part of the Pay It Forward Project, Mrs. Coffey and Mrs. Nelson’s third grade students did good deeds for others each month and fundraised for the RMH. As a culminating activity, the students took part in the field trip to visit the facility. The students gathered hundreds of snacks and packed bags with inspiring messages to place in the rooms of the families staying there. The students brought in food and prepared a lunch for the families to enjoy. They were able to tour the house and see all that the home has to offer. It was a memorable day for everyone involved!
