At the March 11th Town of Newburgh Town Board Meeting, members of the Hudson Valley Figure Skating Club were awarded Certificates of Achievement for their participation in the 2024 Empire State Winter Games in Lake Placid, NY. Coached by Kaylan Wojcik and Joan Clines, the Hudson Valley Figure Skating Club consists of Dominka Dal, Michael Khavin, Naiya Mentor, Olivia Long-Kaline, Isabella Paes, Emily Dolan, Talulah Yeaple, Bianca Baringer, and Lisa Crespo. These figure skaters train at the Ice Time Sports Complex.

Deputy Supervisor Scott Manley, Town Councilman Paul Ruggiero, and Town Councilman Anthony LoBiondo presented Certificates of Achievement to members of Hudson Valley Figure Skating Club for their participation in the 2024 Empire State Winter Games in the presence of their manager Michael Leahy and supporting family and friends.

The Town of Newburgh Seniors enthusiastically looked forward to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, and what a great day it was to join friends at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, CT.  Entertainment by elite Irish dancers and a spirited fantastic Irish band had the seniors tapping their happy dancing feet amidst big smiles galore.  Everyone agreed the traditional corned beef and cabbage lunch was the best as were the delicious desserts that followed.  No wonder everybody believes he’s Irish on St. Paddy’s Day.

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, or maybe a snowman depending on where you live.  On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, Birthday Girl Jeannine Rogers might be enjoying a spring snowstorm, or maybe a delightful gift of seventy degrees and sunshine galore.

Jeannine brings friendship and laughter to everyone she knows with her loyal heart, and she is an inspiration and a joy to us who are blessed to be called a friend.

A belated Happy Birthday to Town of Newburgh Supervisor Gil Piaquadio! Gil turned 75 on Monday, March 18.
