The Town of New Windsor Planning Board approved a public hearing and declared itself lead agency for the project Yeshiva Ohr Naftoli. The project represented by Engineering and Surveying Properties proposes the construction of a new dormitory, office/classrooms, cafeteria and gymnasium as well as other site related improvements.

Yeshiva Ohr Naftoli as it is known today is a private Jewish educational institution that educates high school to college age students. The current 51 acre site at the corner of Route 94 and Forge Hill Road was once the home of the Episcopal Order of St. Helena until it was purchased in 2009.

MHE Engineering comments have noted that a landscaping plan has been presented for review, the plans have been referred to the town’s water and sewer departments and the application should note various curbs. As the project is near a state road, the project should be referred to the Orange County Planning Department, according to the engineering comments
