A.j. Christie (Arthur Joseph Christie III), of Pine Bush passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, due to the result of a tragic accident. He was 34. 

 A.j. was born on September 13th, 1987 in Bridgeport, Connecticut and graduated from Pine Bush High School in 2005. 

Growing up, he was in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Little League. A.j. loved to camp down at the brook and 4-wheel around the property. He loved hiking and climbing at Bear Cliff.  A.j. was also a self taught musician who played multiple instruments, including drums, bass, acoustic, keyboard, piano, banjo, and harmonica. He wrote and sang many of his own songs. A.j. had many friends who played a very important part in both his love for music and zest for life, including Jack, Mike, and Brendan. He worked at Staples Distribution Center, working up to night-time supervisor. He was a dedicated employee who gave his all. A.j. was confident, inspiring, and passionate in everything he did. 

A.j. is survived by his mother, Lora Lynn McCord, his father, Arthur Joseph Christie Jr. and his wife Renee, his sister and best friend, Stephanie A. (Eddie) Garcia, sisters Mia, Alanna, and Samantha, and his brother, Spencer.  A.j. is also survived by his girlfriend, Cheyenne Bills (aka Beeb) and her son, Kaius, his godfather/uncle, Daniel R. McCord (Deb),  his grandmother, Nancy Jean Christie, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a countless number of friends. 

A.j. is predeceased by his grandparents, Arthur J. Christie Sr., Gilbert B. McCord and Patricia A. McCord, his uncle, Gilbert K. McCord, his godmother/aunt, Linda M. Christie, and his cousin, Erica M. Christie.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 20, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. Funeral services will offered at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will take place at Maple Hill Crematory in Archbald PA.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pine Bush Fire Department, PO Box ,  Pine Bush, NY 12566 and The Pine Bush Volunteer Ambulance Corps, PO Box 407 Pine Bush, NY 12566.
