Alice Julia Carlson Privitera died peacefully on October 12, 2022 at age 97. She was a resident of Montgomery. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael D. Privitera, Sr. She is survived by her 5 children Michael Jr, Gerald, Katherine Sherman, John, and Darlene Provino; many nephews, nieces, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was dedicated to her family and to her profession of nursing. She trained as a nurse during World War Il and enlisted in the Navy Cadet Nursing Corps, but when she graduated in 1946, the war was over. She worked in the OR at Good Samaritan Hospital on Long Island until she married in 1949 and began having children. The family moved from Long Island to Walden in 1965. She worked as a nurse at Montgomery Nursing Home in the 1970's. Alice and Mickey moved to Florida and she worked as a nurse at a nursing home in Venice, Florida. After her husband passed away in 2002, Alice moved to a senior apartment in Montgomery where she helped other residents with their care. She was known as Nurse Alice.

She enjoyed crafting, cooking, and making scrapbooks to record her life experiences.
She inspired a sense of calm and comfort to everyone she cared for, especially for her family. Alice will always be remembered as a nurturing, caring woman who would always be willing to go above and beyond for her family, friends, and patients.

Services were held on Monday, October 17  at Millspaugh Funeral Home, Walden..  Graveside services and burial were held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale.
