Candy and costumes galore at Circleville Elementary’s Trunk-or-Treat

On October 27, the Circleville Elementary PTA hosted its second harvest festival and trunk-or-treat, a spooktacular celebration that raised money for the school’s future recreational activities.

“We wanted to do something fun, a place for all the children to play, and meet the families,” said Lindsay, Vice President of the PTA, who handed out candy in her Starbucks-themed trunk.

The elementary school’s students, along with their parents, courageously arrived on the scene and ventured through vendors, fearful food trucks, terrifying trunks full of candy and prizes, and a spine-chilling scavenger hunt. Top this off with creepy costumes of all kinds and this year’s festival was a horrifying hit with everyone.

“This is my first time here and it’s fantastic. Good to see children having something to do,” said Andrea, a teacher at Circleville Elementary.

“I think it’s really great,” said Racheal, one of Circleville’s students, whose family hosted an M&M-themed trunk. Her sister, Emily, nods with the sentiment.

“Yeah, it was good, I love it,” said Louie, a second-grade student who dressed up as a pirate.

“I think it’s very fun,” said Jadrian, another student, who dressed up as King George and won first place at the festival for having the best costume.
