Carolyn A. Hunt a homemaker and life long resident of the area passed away on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 83.
The daughter of the late George Benjamin and Daisy Churchill she was born on September 9, 1935 in New Paltz.
Survivors include her husband Pete Hunt at home, son, Harvey E. Alsdorf and his wife Sharon of Bethel, NY, three grandchildren; Justin Alsdorf and his wife Brisa of Mississippi, Sara Alsdorf of Bethel, and Ryan Alsdorf of Bethel, one brother, Kenneth Benjamin and his wife Geraldine of Florida, two sisters; Peggy Hlavacek and her husband Louis of Walker Valley, and Kathleen Crawford and her husband Robert of South Carolina, nieces; Joni, Dale, Judy, and Sharon, and several other nieces and nephews, one sister in law; Bernice Alsdorf, brothers in law; Harry Hunt and his wife Sophie, and Larry Hunt and his wife Deborah. Carolyn is predeceased by her husband Harvey E. Alsdorf, one brother George Benjamin Sr. and 4 sisters, Betty, Lois, Barbara, and Mary Lou.
Cremation was private and at the convenience of the family. Burial of ashes will take place at a later date in the spring.
