Clara M. DiFazio

On Tuesday, December 25th, Clara “Peaches” DiFazio passed away at her home in Walden. She was 56.

She was born on March 30th, 1962 in Newburgh to Gloria (Blanco) and Vincent DiFazio Sr. She grew up in Newburgh and Walden, NY and attended Valley Central High School.

She had worked briefly as a paralegal in New York City. Though she faced personal challenges and adversity throughout her life, she maintained an almost constant smile, and was always eager to help others in need. She was a wonderful friend, daughter, sister, and aunt, and will be sorely missed by many.

She is survived by her mother Gloria DiFazio, sister Tina DiFazio Vorndran; brother Vincent (Karri) DiFazio; nieces Amanda (Joseph) Bagatta, Jessalyn (Joshua) Cyr, Stephanie Vorndran, and Joelle Vorndran; nephews Tony (Stephanie) DiFazio, Christopher (Lily) DiFazio, and Alex Scott; and seven grand-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her partner and soulmate Melissa Barretos, and her father Vincent DiFazio Sr. Clara was a member of the Friends of the Library.

Memorial Visitation was held on Saturday December 29,. at the Millspaugh Funeral Home 22 Bank St., Walden.

Interment of Cremains will take place at a later date at the Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
