Elizabeth “Betty” Brennan of Maybrook passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 9, 2022.  It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Betty was the middle daughter born to Michael and Eileen McGrath in Kilkenny, Ireland on December 18,1944.

Betty immigrated from Ireland in 1962 with her best friend Eileen Nolan by her side. They came to Long Island, NY as nannies and impacted many families along the way. Our mother’s most joyous adventure was helping to raise the Degan children in Goshen, NY. Betty retired after 20 years of fine service from Glen Arden as Executive Director of Housekeeping Services. There she met some of her greatest and dearest friends.

Our mom was a member of Stony Ford Golf Course for 30 years. She loved the game of golf and was an avid golfer who enjoyed many fun times surrounded by her closest, devoted friends Joyce and Pat. Her greatest achievement, which she was incredibly proud of, was a hole-in-one on the 7th hole at Stony on October 14th, 2021.

Betty married the love of her life who survives her, Rory Vincent Brennan, on April 29, 1967, at Stewart Air Force Base in Newburgh, NY. They enjoyed 55 years devoted to one another with lots of laughs and abundant love. Together they became citizens of The United States of America in 2000.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Deborah and Mark Palczewski and Shauna and Mel Skinner both of Montgomery, NY. She has three adoring grandchildren, Ryan Michael Skinner, Olivia Rose Palczewski, and Grace Ann Palczewski all of Montgomery, NY. Also surviving her are two beautiful sisters Dolores (Tom) Martin and Marian (Joe) Tyndall of Ireland. Betty has many loving nieces and nephews spread around the globe. Of special note, her devoted nephew Paul Tyndall and family of Canada who she loved dearly.

A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. M. David Schwalb and Dr. Jack and Susanne Dermigny for their continued love, support, and guidance throughout this very difficult time. Much love and hugs to all our family and friends for all your love, thoughts, and prayers
