In advance of Flag Day and Independence Day, several Wallkill Lions Club members installed about 25 US flags (purchased by the club,  manufactured in the US).  The crew was escorted by a Wallkill Fire District vehicle to ensure the safety of the volunteers as well as vehicles traveling by the work detail.  As the members worked through the evening, they were greeted by several thumbs up, honks of horns and they even had a kind resident deliver them fresh-baked muffins.  The flags will remain on the lit poles throughout the Summer to show our community’s pride in our country.
