Free music at Wooster Memorial Grove Park? Yes please!

Walden’s 2023 Music in the Grove is a free summer concert series they’ve been doing for years, and it’s just around the corner. The series are presented by the Walden Community Council, Josephine-Louise Public Library and Village of Walden Recreation Department. Together, they schedule a bunch of free concerts on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. for residents to enjoy.

It began on June 26 with a performance by the Pine Bush Community Band. After, performers on various Wednesdays include Jazz Pioneers, Home At Last, Hillbilly Parade, Rachel Leeya Berkman and Anthony Lorino, Alix O’Connor, Black Dirt Bandits, Kevin Cronin, Dale Hammond and Friends, Oxford Station Band and Dan Brother Band. For specific dates, check Walden’s Facebook page or website.

Hannaford provides free water and Hank’s Franks Food Truck will be at the park for food options. They also offer transportation. You can call the Town of Montgomery/Town of Crawford Dial-A-Ride at 845-457-2622 for a free ride.

In the case of inclement weather, the concert would be rescheduled to a September date.

For more information, visit the Village Walden’s website or call the Josephine-Louise Public Library at (845) 778-7621.
