Town of Montgomery Republicans went to the polls Tuesday to select candidates for the upcoming town election, chosing some familiar names in the process

Frederick Gorss is onece again the Republican nominee forTown Justice\,  turning back newcomer Catherine Lee. Gorss received  696 votes. Lee received 260. There were no write-ins. 

Two seats on the Montgomery town board are open, with former board member Mark Hoyt replacing incumbent Kristen Brown on the Republican line along with Deputy Supervisor Cindy Voss, who was re-appointed to the board in January, one year after she had stepped down.

Though it was a close race, Voss and Hoyt were the winners with Voss tallying 577 votes and 568 for Hoyt. Brown was unseated, but right behind them, receiving 523 votes. There were also 14 write-ins for the town council position.
