Joseph F. Couto of Walden passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022, in Walden. He was 76.
The son of Joseph Couto and Frances Botnick Couto, he was born December 30, 1945, in Yonkers, NY.
Joseph was a member of Local 21, Yonkers, NY, having worked as a plumber and pipe fitter. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting, and loved to gamble, especially at casinos. Along with his wife Jan, he often traveled to Ocean City, MD, and together they were members of the Lost Wheels motorcycle club.
Survivors include his wife Jan Couto at home, son Joe Couto and Rachel of Pine Bush; daughter Janine Gonzalez and Gabriel of Walden; grandchildren Skylar, Gabriel; brother Christopher Couto and Hui of Croton-on-Hudson.
A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, April 12 at Most Precious Blood, 42 Walnut St., Walden.
Cremation will take place privately.
