Mrs. Margaret "Peg" Boyle, a resident of Pine Bush, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown. She was 79. 

The daughter of the late John and Josephine (McBride) Barry, Peg was born on October 5, 1942, in Flushing, NY.  Peg had an incredible sense of faith and loved her friends at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Bullville. She could make friends with anyone. 

She adored her grandchildren, children John J. Boyle (Kris) and Eileen Gardocki (Joe) She loved animals, especially her cats Willie and Lilly. She was always up for anything. She swam with stingrays in Antigua, tried indoor skydiving at 73, and went dog sledding in Alaska. She loved a good laugh and she could make you laugh with just a look. She loved traveling. 

She and our Dad, John J. Boyle traveled the world when they retired and just loved it. Her hobbies included reading, music, anything Irish, singing, gardening, being with friends, and taking up the ukulele. Her favorite activity was being with her beloved grandchildren, Erin Boyle, Brigid (Bridie) Boyle, and Gavin Gardocki. Her favorite place to visit was Ireland. She was so proud of her Irish heritage and passed that pride on to her family. 

Survivors include her son, John J. Boyle, and his wife Kris of Pine Bush,  her daughter Eileen (Boyle) Gardocki, and son-in-law Joe Gardocki of Pine Bush. Her cherished grandchildren Erin Boyle, Brigid (Bride) Boyle, and Gavin Gardocki, all from Pine Bush, NY as well. Peg was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, John J.Boyle, her parents John and Josephine (McBride) Barry, her infant son Michael Boyle, her brother John "Johnny" Barry, and his wife Margie Barry, her sister MaryJo (Barry) Murphy and her husband Donal Murphy. 

A funeral mass was  celebrated on Friday, August 12, at St. Paul's RC Church, Route 17K in Bullville with Fr. Sean Harlow, O'Carm officiating. Burial was in the New Prospect Cemetery.
