Marie Whalen of Montgomery passed away, Thursday, September 30, 2021, in Middletown. She was 83.
The daughter of the late William and Emma Foglia, she was born April 7, 1938 in Bronx, New York.
Marie Whalen was a loving mother of three children, grandmother to eight grandchildren, and one great grandson. Her love was shown throughout her life through her generosity to all in need, and warm holiday memories. She loved cooking together with family and creating new memories while relishing the old. Her vibrant smile lit up the room. Marie loved animals, nature, cooking, taking pictures, sweets, and being at the beach. She will be deeply missed by family and friends and those who knew her.
Survivors include her son: Thomas Colucci of Palm Coast, Florida; daughter: Jacqueline Vreeland of Chester, daughter: Carolyn LaRosa of New City; grandchildren: Sean, Thomas, Jake, Brianna, Dylan, Brenda, Gianna, and Joey; great grandchild : Thomas; sister: Barbara Brooks of Walden.
She was predeceased by brothers: Michael Foglia, Joseph Foglia, and William Foglia
Visitation will be Monday, October 4, 2021, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 5, 2021, 11 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Church, Walnut St., Walden.
Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden, NY.
