Marylou Crist, a life-long resident of Walden, passed away peacefully at Sapphire Nursing at Meadow Hill on August 21, 2022.
She is predeceased by her husband, J. Roscoe Crist, and parents, Harry and Edna (Mollenhauer) Palen.
Marylou and Roscoe met at Walden High School, where they graduated with identical GPAs. After they were married, they worked together at Crist Bros. Orchards for many years. Marylou and Roscoe enjoyed playing bridge and going out for dinner.
Survivors include daughter, Diane Crist Chaissan, and her husband Dan Moore, and daughter, Carla Nedved, and her husband, Tom. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Stephanie Chaissan, Kevin Chaissan (and his wife Brigitta), Brenda Nedved, and Rachel Nedved, as well as three great grandsons, Alec Chaissan, Reed Chaissan, and Leo Chaissan. She also leaves behind a sister, Jean Matthews, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
A private burial will be on Friday, September 2, at the Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
