Please remember that this column runs the third Wednesday each month. I need your news for one month by the second Wednesday of each month.

The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday,, September 22 at 7 p.m. at Circleville Middle School and Tuesday, October 13 at 7 p.m. at the Pine Bush High School.

The Pine Bush Senior Citizens Club are looking for new members!  Pine Bush Senior Citizens Do you live in the Town of Crawford, Town of Montgomery, Town of Shawangunk, Town of Mamakating or any other town? Open to ages 55 and over. Then come join the seniors and make new friends. They meet Tuesdays at 1PM at the Town of Crawford Senior Center located at Route 302 across from the Pine Bush HIgh School. For more information call Hugo at 845-744-8162.

Pine Bush Library is open. We have missed you. For now we have shorter hours. Monday- Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Walk-ins can borrow and browse for materials, use the computer, copier, print and fax. It is best to call to see if we have a notary on hand.

All visitors must have a mask, sanitize their hands upon entering and practice social distancing. Several times during the day, the staff wipes down the computers, door knobs, copier, sign out desk, etc.
All books must be returned to the outside book drop. They are then quarantined for 3 days before being put back into circulation.
Programs we have going on now are: Story time with Miss Lucy on Mondays, 10:30 a.m. on the lawn.
Find the fairies reading a book out and around the library lawn and win a prize. We have Take and Make Bags hanging on the outside door for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary age children. In the bag is a book and craft materials to make with directions. Take a picture and email it back to the library for a free scoop of ice cream from Stewart’s. Use PBL@RCLS.ORG.
We have a walking group that meets on Tuesday at 10:30 called the Fitnixs. It’s a walk around town for about 50 minutes. Then it’s lunch on the lawn and some fun with games and chatter. Masks and social distancing is observed. The severe heat has caused a few cancellations, but we are not quitting. Join us.
If you need help getting your driver safety class completed on the computer, be counted for the 2020 census, income tax forms for late or amended returns, help on your phone, iPad, tablet, etc., the library is the place to come. Any other needs, come and ask us.
