Rose Marie Scott passed away on May 16, 2022 at home surrounded by her devoted children and grandchildren. She was 82.

She was born on August 15, 1939 in Middletown to Florence and Carmine Perrego. In 1955 “Rosie” married the love of her life, Jack Scott, sharing 55 lovely years together raising seven children in the Hudson Valley Area.

An endlessly selfless individual, Rosie never hesitated to help her children and grandchildren at every time of need and created fond memories that will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who encountered her. She treasured moments with family during holidays, family gatherings, dinner excursions, and above all, spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Rosie was a retired Patient Care Assistant for Sylcox Health Care Facility in Newburgh and enjoyed many years of rewarding work with patients and co-workers. Rosie created a special foundation of family values that her children and grandchildren cherish and will continue to live by. Remembered forever as “Nana” to her grandchildren, she will be dearly missed on this Earth and in our lives. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace and health in heaven with her true love Jack, mother Florence, sisters Paula, Carma, and Phyllis and brothers Michael and Thomas Perrego.

Rosie is survived by her children, son John and Cheryl Scott; daughter Toni and Pete Giampapa; son Michael and Jane Scott; son Jeffrey and Robin Scott; daughter Penny and Bill Zazersky; daughter Tracey and Nick Decarlo; daughter Jennifer and Michael Cullen; surviving beloved grandchildren, Stephanie Gunsett and Melissa Ackerman, Ashley Scott, Nicholas Decarlo, Michael Decarlo, Zachary Decarlo, Christopher Scott, Kelly Scott, Johnny Scott, Tara Scott, Lilianna and Michael Cullen; Great Grandchildren Jade and Jasmin Thoby, Tanner Dolcemascolo, Brittany Rose Hamblin, Christian Ackerman, Madison Scott, Alyssa Scott, Emma and Olivia Scott; Great-Great Grandchildren Vivianna Hamblin, Kayden Vega and Sariyah Santana
She is also survived by brothers Robert Perrego and children, brother Anthony Perrego and children, Gary Perrego and Peter Perrego and family, Jimmy Perrego and family, and survived by numerous nephews and nieces from the Scott and Perrego family.

Special thanks to Hospice Orange for their compassionate care and support to our mother and family during this difficult transition.
