VC boys top Pine Bush

Armando Perez and Jason Murphy scored 15 points each in the Valley Central Vikings’ 60-46 win over the Pine Bush Bushmen on Wednesday in a non-league boys’ basketball game at Pine Bush High School.

Shawn Magby added 12 points for the Vikings and Nasir Trotter added 11.
Dylan Saldana and Alex Russo scored 10 points each for the Bushmen.

VC girls edge Minisink

Giselle Johnson scored 14 points in the fourth quarter on the way to a game-high 21 points in the Valley Central Vikings’ 36-34 win over the Minisink Valley Warriors on Thursday in an Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association Division II girls’ basketball game at Minisink Valley High School in Slate Hill.
The Vikings (6-6, 5-1 OCIAA-2) trailed, 13-11, at halftime.

Cassie Jennings scored 12 points for the Warriors (3-9, 3-5 OCIAA-2).
