UFO tales at the fair

With grim reminiscence of the “pods” planted by aliens among humans in the 1978 movie “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” members of a newly-formed UFO group say they have been informed that a triangle-shaped UFO dumped two unknown objects into a lake in Tuxedo in the past, and they want to know what they were.

Calling itself Project Aries, a group of noted investigators, including Hudson Valley author and paranormal investigator, Linda Zimmermann, along with investigators from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) - aim to work in a first-of-its-kind local effort to solve the Tuxedo lake mystery.

DePerno, a retired Major Crimes detective with the Syracuse Police Department, said the group plans to set-up a vendor table at the Pine Bush UFO Fair on Saturday.

The Pine Bush UFO Fair is on Main Street in Pine Bush, May 18, starting at 9:30 a.m. The rain date is Sunday, May 19, organizers announced.

Famous UFO speakers are scheduled to present lectures. Daytime events with writers and investigators will be in front of the UFO Museum at 51 Main Street. Evening lectures are scheduled at the Town of Crawford Government Center at 121 State Route 302. Evening lectures begin at 4:30, cost $20, and include intermission and light refreshments, according to publicity.
