Valley Central High School is pleased to announce that High School senior, Adam Elkashef, has been named a Commended Student in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. Students commended by the National Merit Scholarship Program show exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test. Although these students cannot continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, this recognition offers many other scholarship opportunities.

Adam was recognized in a brief ceremony at VCHS by Principal Russell Burns and Superintendent Evette Avila with his parents in attendance on the morning of September 28, 2023.

“Adam is an intelligent, hardworking, dedicated, and well-rounded student that we are proud to have at Valley Central High School. In addition to Adam’s impressive academic standing, he is also an inspirational young man fully committed to his school and community,” commented his guidance counselor, Jessica Pforte.

The District extends a special thank you to the VCSD faculty and staff who have played a key role in Adam’s academic success.
